Dear Gareth,

Happy New Year to you and your family.

I am just getting around to sending you an email, sorry for the delay.
The two Men you sent us for the last Sale were excellent; Lyndon Richards was very good at advertising and all the work that entailed. Mark Valiant was Excellent! He was very enthusiastic and his enthusiasm spread through the Shop in Ballybofey where he spent most of the time. He motivated everyone; there was no task too big for him. He had great ideas and shared his ideas with us, not in a doctorial manner, only to help. As we say in Ireland, "He had Cop On and tact." The results of the sale showed. He is a great Ambassador for Lynch Sales Company.

As I said to you on the telephone before Christmas Gareth if we are to do a Lynch Sale in the future we would like Mark and Lyndon or that calibre of person.

Again Best wishes for 2010,

Ann Foy, Director,
Foy &amp; Co. Ltd.,

Dear Gareth,

I hope that you will forgive me for not writing sooner to thank you on behalf of Randalls of Uxbridge for organizing another very successful Daniel Lynch event. In fact, I think we have broken new ground as this was, as you know, our fourth event in as many years. Far from finding the format stale, we had an even more successful event than in 2008. I could not have hoped more. Considering the very tough trading conditions that all retailers are currently experiencing, that is a remarkable achievement indeed. A lot of that success can be directly attributed to the superb Roy Gess. He has established an excellent relationship with Hugh O&#8217;Brien and all the Randall&#8217;s staff, to the point where I can rest easy knowing that the partnership between our two companies is stronger than ever!

They say that converts are very often the strongest adherents, and as someone who ventured forth with a Daniel Lynch event with much trepidation, I can say that I would have absolutely no hesitation in saying that this has been one of our best business decision in decades and that from a very old-fashioned conservative company. My great-grandfather would, I am sure, have approved. What greater praise can there be?

As you know, we have pencilled in next year&#8217;s event and I look forward to sorting out the details early in the New Year. Roy will be an essential element of that next event, so please ensure that he is available.

With best wishes to you for Christmas and a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year from all your friends at Randalls.

Yours ever,

John Randall (Director)

Dear Gareth,

After running many similar events ourselves with mixed results, we decided to turn to the Lynch Sales Company to handle our next promotion. After our first meeting with Gareth Price we were convinced we had made the right choice.

Daren Spencer, our conductor, made me feel at ease from the moment we met and seamlessly integrated with our staff bringing with him a wealth of experience, advice, product knowledge, connections and suggestions. Daren ran the event from start to finish with great professionalism and energy, and I will definitely recommend the Lynch Sales Company and Daren Spencer to any other retailer.

We exceeded our upper estimate of our sales target by over 40% with a huge response from our old customers, with over 2000 new customers joining us on the first 2 days.

I hope to be running other promotions and look forward to working with Daren, Gareth and the Lynch Sales Company in the not-too-distant future.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth,

Well, it&#8217;s now day 18 of our Lynch Refurbishment Sale. The last day. Customers are still coming in good numbers, and both Christine and I are delighted with how everything has gone. We&#8217;re the talk of the town. We&#8217;ve done 25% of our annual turnover, we have a very healthy looking bank balance, and there&#8217;s been such a positive response from all of our customers that we can&#8217;t wait to invite them back into the store again once we&#8217;ve completed our refurbishment.

Roy Gess, who&#8217;s managed the Sale for us, has been an inspiration. He&#8217;s integrated perfectly into the team, everyone&#8217;s enjoyed his company, and we&#8217;re all going to miss him next week.

Roy worked tirelessly over the month, rallying the troops, organising the press, and even managing to get us free editorial in all the local papers. He&#8217;s driven the Sale on the showroom floor from day one, allowing Christine and myself to ensure that the day-to-day running of the store hasn&#8217;t lapsed.

On a final note, I would like to say to any retailer who reads this letter, but is sceptical as to whether a Lynch Sale is right for them, the results are overwhelmingly positive. We have not received one negative comment from a customer, it has raised our profile substantially within the town, and we have achieved sales that we had scarcely believed possible whilst retaining a very pleasing level of margin.

All I need to do now is think of a good enough reason to run another Lynch Sale within the next few years.

Yours sincerely ,

Matthew Philpott

Dear Gareth,

We may be unusual in that we have not only subscribed to the Lynch Sales experience and had an extra member of staff for a month, but we have also had a &#8216;lodger&#8217; for a month as well. As he was a long way from home and we had a flat available above the shop, it seemed sensible to offer him accommodation on site. Although we are a family business and are dedicated to the cause, Daren Spencer our man from Lynch Sales, put us all in the shade with his commitment and enthusiasm.

After 2 years of declining sales figures we have reversed the trend in style with over 30% of annual sales in less than a month, spent under 6% on marketing, and maintained a decent profit margin. We have also benefited greatly from Daren&#8217;s great experience by improving our floor layout and advice on purchasing, including introducing us to some new suppliers. The sales figure for July is probably 2.5 times what we would have achieved with our normal sale, which makes it our most profitable month in 16 years of trading. The only problem we have is: we will be able to cope with the avalanche of furniture heading our way?

A very strong recommendation and a very enjoyable experience, and that is echoed by ALL of our staff.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth:

We have just come to the end of our Refurbishment Sale organised by your company and I have to admit that the results have exceeded our wildest expectations. We have reached over 25% of our annual turnover in just 22 days, which I feel in these difficult times to be quite amazing.

Roy Gess, a true professional, with many years experience in the furniture trade, inspired our somewhat slightly sceptical staff into believing that this was going to be our Best Sale Ever, which it has been, thanks to Roy&#8217;s enthusiasm and extreme hard work. The first day was without doubt the busiest day that I can remember in the history of the company and takings were equivalent to a month&#8217;s turnover.

Try as we may to replicated a similar event, I feel that we would not have the same success without Roy&#8217;s expertise in Advertising, Database and Marketing. We would have no hesitation in recommending your company to members of Minerva, our buying group or indeed any other Retailer.

Dear Gareth:

As our Daniel Lynch Sale draws to a close, I thought I would drop you a line to inform you of our success.

This has been without doubt one of the most stimulating experiences in our 74 year history. The adrenaline has flowed, the feet have been sore, and the pens have run dry. What&#8217;s more, we have achieved over 13% of our annual turnover in just the first 5 days. We now have a near empty warehouse cleared of dead stock, a healthy book of new orders and an excellent profit margin. What more could a retailer want?

It has also been very instructive to have had Mark to guide us. He has tirelessly worked long hours with enthusiasm. Nothing has phased him, from making difficult sales, moving furniture around the store, writing no end of tickets, unloading lorries or making tea. His professionalism has been an inspiration to us all and we shall be sorry to see him go.

Unfortunately the sale inexplicably ended with a bit of a whimper, but we cannot overlook the fact that we have exceeded the target.

We would certainly recommend the Daniel Lynch Company and look forward to working with you in the future.

Regards,

Neil Turvey

P.S. Another major success was to keep the floods at bay this time!

Dear Gareth,

I would like to thank you personally, Mark Valiant and the Lynch Sales Company for the massive success in our recent May Sale.

Simply put, we turned over 2 month&#8217;s business in 17 days, and exceeded your estimate by over 30%.

We felt confident from the first moment that we contacted Lynch Sales that we were in good hands, and specifically your predictions regarding market costs were absolutely accurate.

In particular, I would like to thank Mark Valiant for his hard work, enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism. He is indeed a credit to your company, and I would certainly recommend his services to any other company considering a Lynch Sale.

Dear Gareth,

I thought I should drop you a line to express my thanks to you, and in particular to Darren, for the excellent job you did for us in the recent Lynch sale.

I was greatly impressed with the response to the initial mail out letter, which produced some 600 people through the door within the first two hours and the 1000 over the opening day.

Darren was a &#8216;real trouper.&#8217; He is obviously well versed at integrating himself within a relatively unknown company, building up a level of enthusiasm whilst at the same time standing back and allowing the owners to direct the business. He was a pleasure to have here.

I am glad I took your advice on concentrating on our best sellers and not being distracted by other goods that are outside our normal portfolio. It was surprising that even at half price, some of the bad buys are still with us, and I think this goes to prove a point.

That aside, we exceeded our target and have been more than pleased with the outcome.

Please do pass on our best wishes to Darren and I hope our paths may cross in the future.

Dear Gareth,

We are on the first day of our post sale and things are understandably quiet which is giving me some time to reflect on the whole experience.

With this in mind, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a successful sale, and in particular, congratulate you on your Team. We had Ian for the course of the sale in our Ballybofey and Stanorlar branches. He kept me and our team motivated and focused in his own discreet way. He worked hard and was on the shop floor at every hour we were open for business. With his experience in the furniture trade, he made changes that helped to make stock look like new even though it had been there for a long time. He didn&#8217;t pull a rabbit out of a hat at any stage and just did the simple things well, which was a great reminder to us about the essentials of retail.

Considering the present economic climate and doing business in a Border area, we did very well.

Many thanks,

Dear Gareth,

I apologise for the delay in contacting you. In some ways, the delay has been beneficial as I can now report that since our first Lynch Sale, business has been brisk and we have enjoyed the momentum from the sale, which was a pleasant surprise.

I have received Lynch Sales literature many times and read it, then put it to one side until this year when we decided to act on the information. During what has been a difficult trading period for many retailers has proven to be a successful time for us due in part to the promotion of the Lynch Sale. I would not hesitate to repeat it in the future.

We were impressed with the organisation; from the first meeting with you, to the attendance of Lyndon Richards at the store. It could not have been easier. We had initial reservations, but thanks to the expertise and great assistance of Lyndon plus the sheer volume of sales, we could not have been happier. When the time is right to repeat the process, we look forward to welcoming Lyndon back to coordinate our next Lynch Sale.

Many thanks to all,

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth,

As you have no doubt heard by now, our recent &#8220;Lynch Sales&#8221; promotional sale has been a great success, and has increased our business in April 2009 by more than 200% compared to last year.

Once again Ted Preston proved to be extremely helpful in maintaining the momentum of the sale throughout, and was a popular and likeable member of our &#8216;team&#8217; &#8211; keeping the sales team enthusiastic and the sale moving forward. However, when we took him out to celebrate the end of the sale, he was completely useless at ten-pin bowling!

We hope to run another similar sale next year and will be in touch regarding possible dates. Once again thank you for your efforts and keep up the good work!

Dear Gareth,

I am writing to thank you for organising our recent Sale Event.

I was always concerned about the timing of this as Easter traditionally has always been a very quiet time for us, in fact some of our lowest trading weeks.

With the present climate, however, I am delighted that we managed to achieve sales in line with your budget. We did this time manage to clear some of our older stock, which we did not last time.

We sold a great many occasional items but did struggle with the bigger orders.

Once again Lyndon fitted in very well with all our staff and managed to keep me positive throughout the event. I hope he enjoyed it as well and it was good to have him with us.

Thanks again,

Dear Gareth,

It was during the April 2008 AIS Conference held at the Belfry that we were first introduced to Lynch Sales Company as part of the support facilities, recommended by the AIS group. Later that year, I felt the Lord lead me to enquire further about what the Lynch sale was about. In nearly 30 years in the furniture trade, no one had mentioned (or I had not listened) about any such opportunity. Having met you to talk over the opportunity&#8212;our family prayed about the situation and decided to go ahead and give it a go!

The result&#8212;over 35% of our annual turnover in 22 days, cleared dead stock, discontinued lines, and lots of new orders, all whilst still maintaining a good margin. Hard work (but what is not that is worth doing?) but Lynch Sales Company provided a very professional sales coordinator, Daren Spencer, who looked after everything. He fitted into our family business as if he had been there for years, always encouraging, and driving us forward, assuring us even on the quiet mornings, after the mad first week that we would achieve the day&#8217;s target, which was always exceeded. He will be greatly missed. He is truly a great person to work with.

Our initial doubt and concerns were dispelled as soon as we opened the door on day one. It is definitely an event we will not forget in a hurry. A queue on day one with over 1000 customers, spending more in one day than an entire 10 days of our best ever sales times. I would certainly recommend Lynch Sales Company to my friends (in other areas please!) and look forward to preparing a similar event in the not too distant future.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth,

The dust has settled and customer deliveries all but complete, so time for me to write and thank you and your team for our Lynch experience!

I&#8217;m sure, like many before me (and no doubt many after), the sales potential and budgets were met with a little skepticism given the current trading climate. But, we were wrong and forecasts were achieved and exceeded giving us three months sales in the two and half week promotion.

However, the biggest thank you must go to Darren who orchestrated the whole event, priced it, sold it, and even made coffee&#8212;the staff enjoyed his time with us and we wish him well.

Once again, my sincere thanks to you all and without question my recommendation goes to all retailers who wish the Lynch Experience.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth,

Thank you for the outstanding results you and your team have delivered during the Lynch Sales you have orchestrated for us. Your consultants have integrated well into our business, exhibiting flair, determination and a great work ethic in accomplishing the business objectives we required.

We were delighted with the huge increase in footfall your promotions provided and are very happy to report sales in excess of &#163;17m in the four events so far, providing us with a very clean stock position as we conclude a successful financial year.

I would have no hesitation recommending the Lynch Sales Company to any retail company that wishes to drive sales and clear the decks of old stock. We look forward to working with you in the future.

Dear Gareth,

I am writing to you once again to thank you and Roy for all the hard work that you put into the Lynch Sales event. Three years in a row, I thought was pushing it, and to give us an extra challenge, the whole banking crisis started the week before the sale started.

I was half expecting no-one turning up, but yet again Lynch Sales came up trumps. Yes, it was hard work but rewarding in all senses of the word.

Roy was not only utterly professional, but a brilliant motivator of staff without hectoring and always tactful. Where do you find these people?

I have said in the past that I am a self-confessed grumpy old man, but even I have a smile on my face at the end of your events.

I look forward to next year&#8217;s event eagerly, as no doubt do all my suppliers and my bank manager, too.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth:

A quick note to say how impressed we were with Ian.

His approach and follow-up were first class, as was his willingness to get involved in all aspects of the sale.

It was excellent to work alongside somebody who was proactive and willing to &#8216;go the extra mile&#8217; in order to ensure that the sale worked for all concerned.

Would recommend him to other retailers if they were looking to run one of your Lynch Sales events.

Dear Gareth:

I just thought I should drop you a line as we approach the finish line! What an amazing three weeks we&#8217;ve had &#8211; unlike anything we have experienced before. When Daren outlined our targets, I was concerned that we wouldn&#8217;t even come close. Here we are, having exceeded the total by nearly 50% and having crammed in the best part of 4 months&#8217; business into 24 days&#8217; trading.

You know how skeptical we were that your formula could be successfully applied to sleepy Penzance. Well, I take it all back. Everything has happened just as you predicted, right down to the length of the queue on the first day! (Although I think we even confounded Daren with the length of the queue on the third day!) Daren has been fantastic. Right from the moment he walked through the door (which now seems so long ago) he has kept us focused on the talk in hand, encouraging and cajoling both the staff and us by equal measure to make sure we maximise this opportunity. We will all be sad to say goodbye to him tomorrow evening.

I&#8217;m not sure what we are going to do now- the warehouse has been emptied of stock and Christmas is just around the corner! I guess we will have to concentrate on getting all the deliveries out and collecting the money! Oh yes, I nearly forgot, the phone call to the Bank Manager to say we will not need to borrow as much a we originally thought to complete our extension!

With grateful thanks,

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gareth:

Just thought I would drop you a wee note to thank you and Ian for the help and support at our Lynch Sale.

Ian was a tremendous help to us and we all bonded a good friendship with him and hope to keep in touch in the future.

The sale went really well in the first few days and we managed to sell a lot of surplus stock. We also learned a lot of tips from Ian, which will help us in the future. The last weekend of the sale was really good and must be the best weekend in sales we have ever had.

I would not hesitate to recommend any retailer to have a Lynch Sale and we will probably have another one in a couple of years.

Once again, thanks for all your help and pass our regards on to Ian.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea McAdam

Dear Lynch Sales Team:

Our experience with every aspect of the Lynch Sale and every member of your team was beyond our expectations. Thank you so much. Your team integrated very well with our operations and adjusted accordingly, which was paramount to the success of our sale. We have already instituted some of your management principles and policies moving forward.

I would like to personally thank Gordon Zuliani, Greg Paprocki and Stewart Kerr for outstanding contributions as conductors. It was great to see your staff doing whatever was necessary to make the sale successful. Perhaps I should not mention their excellent merchandising and warehousing skills, but it really helped motivate the whole combined Up Country/ Lynch Sales team.

After many years in business, it is easy to group marketing and sales promotion companies as one and the same; that is all talk &#226;&#8364;&#8220; no or little action. Our initial meeting with you was a little out of desperation since we had several slow months, thankfully after a little research, your company stood out as an industry leader and we made the right choice.

Your plan and forecasts before the sale began were accurate and precise; we appreciated the well laid out plan as to expenses and budgets. Advertising came in well below your projections, which is an amazing feat. Personally I would like to apologize for some resistance from our company regarding your marketing and advertising plans. Not only were they necessary for the sale, they were actually exactly what the consumer expected to help create excitement and close sales. It is our intention to use your services again, even though your methods could be easy replicated by us now, the energy, commitment and management of making the sale successful would be very difficult for us to duplicate.

Sincerely,

Dear Gordon,

RE: CLOSE OUT SALE

Gordon, just a quick note to thank you for running our successful close out sale.

The day you arrived, I gave you control of the store thinking that the Daniel Lynch Sales Method worked the last time during our remodeling sale, so it should work again. However, I had my doubts as we had run a very strong advertising campaign during the winter months by ourselves, and it did not work for us. I wondered on several occasions, could Daniel Lynch make the sales come?

The first morning erased those worries. We had people lined up at the door; we had cars and trucks loading at our shipping doors, and we had deliveries for two trucks. I was amazed to see the action and happy you had complete control! I thought, this cannot continue, tomorrow will be different. Then I remembered we were not open to the public yet. We were only seeing clients that had received the personal invitations.

Our sale was as successful as we wanted. We sold almost everything that was to be sold! We were able to release floor space and our new tenants waiting to move in were excited to see the movement of goods.

I look back on my first attempt to do the sale ourselves, and regret we did not listen to you then! Your system and methods work so well, we cannot understand why we did not use you earlier.

Thank you, for maintaining our good name and our reputation in the community while holding this close out sale! You really are a professional!

I remain cooperatively yours,

Dear Mr. Lynch:

Through the Daniel Lynch Company, Gordon Zuliani worked with us for eight weeks to help us retire from our thirty-year old store. Gord worked with the media to help achieve extremely positive editorials when we announced the closing of our high profile main street anchor store.

We benefited from Gord's professionalism and tact in working with our long term staff. We achieved better than forecast sales while remaining under budget in advertising costs and on plan to protect our profit margins. He also worked beyond the letter of our contract by helping us plan shipping and fulfillment to deal with the unexpected volume.

The combination of the Lynch Company formula and Gord's energy and respect for us and our business made our exit from business a positive and rewarding experience.

Dear Sirs:

We would like to thank the people at Daniel Lynch Sales Company who assisted with our sale. Mr. Dickason and Mr. Zuliani who introduced your company to us did so in an entirely professional manner and were the chief reason for our decision to use your services. Although we had many reservations about how the sale would be conducted and where all the business would come from, they were quickly laid to rest once the sale commenced.

We would like to offer a special thank you to Mr. Tim Garrett, the conductor for our sale. The professionalism he exhibited in conducting all aspects of the sale exceeded all expectations and was greatly appreciated. From the day he arrived, he took control. His ability to motivate 17 sales staff and keep them &#8220;up&#8221; over the course of the sale was remarkable. It was also remarkable that after the long hours put in each day tagging or working the sales floor, he was able to arrive the next morning in an upbeat manner that picked everyone up. We learned a lot from Tim, and would certainly use him again, should the opportunity arise.

Finally, we would also like to thank Tim&#8217;s wife, Claudia, for the help that she provided during the course of the sale. Her assistance in tagging the floor and keeping track of the daily results proved to be invaluable to us and to Tim.

All in all, the whole experience has been both fruitful and positive. Thank you, Tim and Claudia, and thank you Daniel Lynch Sales Company for a job well done.

Yours truly,

Dear Mr. Lynch:

I would like to thank both Daniel Lynch Sales and Gordon Zuliani for showing us how a professionally run, 3-million dollar renovation sale is done. Our goal was to reach 20% of our annual sales in 33 days. I was somewhat reluctant to believe this projection was realistic, however, I am now happy to say that the sale was a great success. We were, in fact, able to surpass our goal.

As our conductor, Gordon Zuliani was a complete pleasure to work with. He was both professional and enthusiastic. His guidance and knowledge was very much appreciated and valued. We are a high-end Scandinavian furniture store. My main concern was to run a promotion like this without damaging the reputation we have built over the past 35 years. I firmly believe our customers understood that the sale was intended to renovate the showroom and to allow space for new merchandise.

I am happy to recommend Daniel Lynch Sales and especially Gordon Zuliani to any company that is interested in doing an event of this magnitude.

Sincerely,

Dear Gordon:

Furniture Disposal-Renovation Sale

Gordon, we first spoke about running a sale in May 2003. After our discussion, I decided that I would not need you and Daniel Lynch to do what we have done for 56 years. What could you possibly do that we could not? Needless to say, we spent $40,000 on advertising and promoting our sale. We were a complete failure! The sales did not come!

In November, I went through the package you had sent and re-read the many letters you provided. Once again I said to myself, "He probably asks for the letters, and people would never give him a bad reference." I overlooked these thoughts and called you again to talk about running a sale for our store.

We decided to start the sale after our November anniversary sale. I had mentioned to you that December was historically the worst month for furniture sales for our store. You confidently stated that your system worked and told me not to worry.

The day you arrived I gave you control of the store, thinking, if he is so confident, let him prove it and let him run the sale his way. I started to worry when my staff went from 13 to 27 for the first week of the sale. The first morning erased these worries, we had people lined up at the door, we had cars and trucks loading at our shipping doors and we had deliveries for two trucks. I was amazed to see the action and happy you had complete control! I thought this can not continue, tomorrow would be different, then I remembered, we were not open to the public yet, we were only seeing clients that had received the personal invitation.

Our sale was held over 4 weeks, which included Christmas and New Years, a total of 21 selling days.

What we gained from you and Daniel Lynch Sales:
# We ended up selling 18% of our year during these 21 days.
# We lowered our inventory a little over $200,000.
# We succeeded in making the required space for our warehouse to move into the store. (A savings of $48,000 per year.)
# The extra sales people you found for us were excellent; we actually were able to keep two of them on staff.
# The lessons you taught us about advertising enabled us to let our advertising agency go, we are doing our own ads and at a reduced rate. (A savings of over $21,000 per year.)
# Our cash flow has improved dramatically.
# Negotiating with clients on pricing has become a new art.
# Our mailing list has grown by close to 600 clients.
# The contacts we made for printing and mailing to different postal codes will continue to generate new clients and help make future sale periods successful.

I look back on my first decision to try to do the sale ourselves, and regret we did not listen to you then! Your system and methods work so well, we cannot understand why we did not use you earlier.

Thank you, for maintaining our good name, our client base, and our reputation in the community! You really are a professional!

Dear Chris and Jud:

We would like to express our appreciation to your company, especially your conductor, Gordon Zuliani, for our &#8220;Going Out of Business&#8221; Sale.

Our store was approximately 30,000 square feet with the highest quality furniture lines offered in Saskatoon. Universal Furniture was a family owned business for over 42 years. I worked there for over 22 years and my wife, Linda, full and part-time for 20 years.

During the course of our store&#8217;s lifetime, both my parents passed away, which left us with no other family members to help in the business. Over the course of the past few years, we had also noticed a considerable change in the retail business. This, combined with having no family left is Saskatoon, we decided to close the business which was a very tough decision. We did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people about the best possible company to run our final sale. Your name was mentioned by many individuals and your reputation came very highly recommended. After meeting with Gordon Zuliani for the first time in Saskatoon, we knew that we had made the right decision. Gordon was very professional in running the sale, yet still made it fun. We appreciate the fact that Gordon has the knowledge of owning his own furniture store and also running a closing out sale - so he has first hand experience in both. He has a great sense of humor which made hem easy to work with and he worked very closely with Linda and myself to make sure that we were kept up-to-date with everything he was doing.

The first four days of the sale were incredible with people lined up on both sides of our block. The first day we outsold what we would do in a month. The advertising of Daniel Lynch was very successful in drawing in the customers. Overall, in 8 weeks, we easily outsold what we would do in a year and cleaned out our building of almost all inventory.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Gordon Zuliani. Right after signing the papers to start the sale, Linda&#8217;s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Besides contending with the stress of running our sale, we were traveling back and forth to be with her family as much as we could. Gordon not only did an excellent job in handling all of the sales and delivery staff, but also took a personal interest in our situation and went above and beyond what his duties were expected of him. Gordon provided us the peace of mind to be able to take a little bit of extra time to spend with Linda&#8217;s family.

We would like to thank Gordon Zuliani and the Daniel Lynch Sales Company for providing us with the expertise to run a successful sale.

Sincerely,

Zorian &amp; Linda Dershko

Dear Chris &amp; Jud:

We would like to express our appreciation to the Daniel Lynch Sales Company, especially Gordon Zuliani, for an extremely successful &#8216;Going Out of Business&#8217; sale.

The decision to close our 120-year old, fourth generation family business was not an easy one, but Gord managed the sale and the staff with professionalism and compassion. Gord&#8217;s personal retail experience and his sense of humour were great assets, although his golf game leaves a bit to be desired!

The extra sales staff brought in to handle the volume were also very professional and worked very well with our existing sales force. It was truly a team effort.

The first week/four days of our sale had people lined up for a block, an hour before we opened the doors. We had over 7500 people in the store in four days and reached sales of almost one million dollars.

Our sale lasted 9 weeks and generated revenues almost equal to our annual volume. We reached and surpassed our sales goal, with Gord managing to keep advertising costs at 5.2%. Furthermore, we got rid of basically all of our inventory, as well as writing an enormous amount of special order business.

We wish to sincerely thank the Daniel Lynch Sales Company for their efforts in allowing us to go out in style and with integrity and honour.

Yours very truly,

Dear Mr. Lynch,

We have just completed our five-week remodelling sale and wanted to take this opportunity to express how happy we are with the results. Initially we were very concerned about whether hiring your company to run a major sale would hurt our reputation. It took a long time for us to decide, but after many conversations with retailers who had used your company before, and a few conversations with Mr. Zuliani, we made the decision to go ahead with the sale and we are very glad we did.

On the opening day of the sale the weather was not in our favour. It was &#8211;28 degrees Celsius but we still had almost 50 people lined up at the door at 10:00 AM. That day we had as much traffic as we would normally get in 2-1/2 weeks and a record breaking sales day. The sale continued on very strong and what amazed us most was the amount of special orders and the overall gross margin. We averaged over 50% special order throughout the entire sale and a gross margin that was well above our average for any sale that we had run on our own.

The projections for the sale were exceeded on all levels. We ended up about 15% above the projected sales amount, 3% above the gross margin and almost 2% under the advertising budget. Needless to say we were very pleased with the numbers and the cash flow it created for us while we are remodelling.

Mr. Zuliani was everything that we had hoped for in a sales conductor. He was professional in everything he did and an exceptional motivator for all the staff including the support staff. We never felt that he was taking over our business during the sale and kept us involved in all of the decisions. The entire staff was sorry to see him leave at the end of the sale, which is a great testament to his character

Thank you again for a great sale.

Sincerely,

Dear Sirs:

When we acquired the inventory and location of an existing patio furniture store in January, we knew we would have to sell all of the existing inventory before we could make a fresh start. A friend referred us to your company. Your Canadian division manager, Mr. Gordon Zuliani, responded to us immediately and we began to put a "Going Out of Business" sale in place.

To say that our inventory was fragmented and of questionable quality would be an understatement. Our other concern was whether we could actually sell patio furniture in January.

Mr. Zuliani arrived 1 week prior to the sale and worked hard to get the advertising, furniture layout and pricing completed. On the first day of the sale, on one of the coldest days of the year, there were over 80 people lined up at the door. Over 700 people went through the store that first day. That would have been amazing in July, but this was January!

Considering the quality of our inventory, the cold weather and the time of the year, our sale was a great success. We accomplished our objectives. Throughout the sale Mr. Zuliani worked well with our staff and conducted the sale in a very professional manner. We would recommend your company to anyone in a similar situation as ours.

Yours truly,

Re: Gord Zuliani

Sirs,

This writing is a thank you and in appreciation for Gord Zuliani's professionalism during our retirement sale. Gord was dedicated, efficient and was a positive influence with all the Schreiter's staff. He understood our business needs and took a special interest in the success and smooth running of this sale.

From October 23rd to December 8th, 2002, under Gord's energy and positive influence, the staff exceeded themselves to sell $693,911.29. We definitely could not have done this without his encouragement.

Gord, with his management skills, took charge of the advertising, which undoubtedly was effective.

We highly recommend Gord Zuliani and Daniel Lynch Sales for their proven success in their sales program. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

Gentlemen,

In the spring, when the business started to slow down, Therese and I discussed how we could make a big change in our inventory that was stagnant.

Then, I remembered having documentation from Daniel Lynch Sales. So, I got in touch with Gordon Zuliani and he took charge of everything. He knew exactly what to do and what to say to produce maximum sales. He carefully controlled the advertising budget and cleaned up our inventory.

At a period of difficult economy, we greatly appreciated having used Daniel Lynch Sales services.

Mr. Zuliani conducted our sale in a professional manner. His enthusiasm and courtesy reflected in his day to day dealings.

Dear Prospective Lynch Sales Company Customer:

We decided to choose the Lynch Sales Company once again to run our Remerchandising Sale. This proved to be a wise decision and gave me peace of mind. We had numerous choices, as it seems like everyone thinks they can run a successful sale these days. I even have family members that run these types of events now. However my greatest concern was our reputation so instead of choosing a sleazy liquidator; I went with a proven tradition of high-end integrity to represent us, The Lynch Sales Company. And, I am glad I did!

Dear Jud:

Carl Harz Furniture was started in 1948 by my father, Carl Harz. We have never run this type of sale before.

We have just completed our six-week remerchandising sale using the Lynch Sales Company. We started the sale on December 8th and we had a concern because of the timing of just before Christmas. The first day was our second biggest day of the year. That first week was beyond our expectations. We were more than satisfied with the results of the event

Before the sale, we worried about the impact of our Company&#8217;s reputation. Now we know we picked the right Company by choosing Lynch Sales Company for our Sale. Our gross margins were higher than our expectations. We moved out the old inventory and maintained a custom order rate of more than 60% of sales.

Our sale coordinator, Jim Schwark, did a great job from the first day he arrived to the last day of the sale. Jim was a pleasure to work with and he worked great with all my staff. Jim helped us finish the year on a high note, and kick off the New Year with a great start!

Dear Jud and Chris,

This past spring, Stomas Furniture and Interiors completed a renovation of its Baton Rouge Showroom after ten years at our Perkins Road location. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to show off our brand new showroom, and to display to the Baton Rouge market the progress we&#8217;ve made at this location over the last ten years.

We were fully aware that the Grand Re-Opening of our showroom was an opportunity to take advantage of a huge sale event. Having utilized your company in the past, I contacted Michael Biggiam to see if this was an event that your company could help us promote and staff. Not only did Michael and his staff meet our expectations, but also they exceeded them.

So, this is a thank-you note for sending Michael and putting your company support behind the planning and execution of what is now the biggest sale we&#8217;ve ever had.

Dear Chris and Judson:

I would like to thank the Lynch Sales Company again for their professional help in running two (2) successful Sale Events at our stores in Lafayette, Louisiana (Stoma&#8217;s Furniture &amp; Interiors) and in Birmingham, Alabama (Birmingham Wholesale). Once again, Chris Kulikowski, your experienced sale conductor did an excellent job!

We had recently purchased Birmingham Wholesale a year ago and wanted to liquidate our inventory before we remodel. We are proud to say it was our best sale in the 59-year store history! ($3 million in sales in only 46 days with an ad budget of 5%.) In 2005, at Stoma&#8217;s Furniture &amp; Interiors, Chris ran a successful sale that accomplished $1 million in sales in a 6-week period. This time, even with the condition of the economy, we were able to produce the same results in only 4 weeks!

Both Sale Events not only met our projections, but also exceeded our expectations in every way. The copyrighted advertising plan was very effective again. The merchandising and the personnel training that Chris provided had proven advantageous. We were pleased that Chris was able to coordinate and execute both events for us this year. It was a privilege working with him again! He is knowledgeable in the furniture industry, extremely organized, and hard working. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and optimism do not go unnoticed. He made sure every detail was taken care of before and during our Sale Events. We have so much confidence in Chris that leaving the store to go to market and taking a personal vacation during the event was not a concern for us. He was an excellent advisor and worked extremely well with our staff. We appreciate his hard work and the success he brought to our Sale Events.

I look forward to working with you in the future. I would highly recommend Lynch Sales Company and Chris Kulikowski to prospective clients in need of your services.

Sincerely,

Simon Eid

Dear Judson:

We just finished a store closing of our North Dale Mabry Highway location in Tampa. When we made the decision to close this location, we had given some thought to running the sale ourselves. Thankfully we made the wise choice to hire the Lynch Sales Company to handle the sale for us. The sale began on September 1st, 2009, and we had estimated that the sale would last into the early part of October. To our pleasant surprise, the sale ended in two weeks with everything sold! Much of the credit of this success goes to Greg Scott. He and this team did an outstanding job. Greg&#8217;s years of experience in running sales for many Ethan Allen retailers made a tremendous difference. From beginning to end and throughout the sale, we felt Greg always seemed to do what was in our best interest as the client. Greg is a true professional in every respect and we could gladly use him and the Lynch Sales Company again in the future.

Sincerely,

Lynch Sales Company

To Whom It May Concern:

With today&#8217;s retail environment it became clear we needed to make a change. After looking at many options, we concluded it was time to get out of this business.

We had a very big concern of how to get out of the business in this very difficult retail climate. It became clear that the Lynch Company was the way to go. The Lynch Company came highly recommended by friends and others who had used the Lynch Company before. It was their comments on how professional, motivated, hard working, knowledgeable, and experienced in running a going-out-of-business sale which led us to choosing the Lynch Company to run our going-out-of-business sale.

From our initial meetings with Dick Dickason to the closing of the doors with Robert Putt, the Lynch Company was there to help us every step of the way. The way the Sale was set up to fit my deadlines and numbers all worked out in the end. Having 2 stores required having 2 coordinators, Robert Putt in our Altamonte Springs store, and Gord Zuliani in the Orlando store. Both Robert Putt and Gordon Zuliani came with competent sales staff who worked well with our current staff. Robert came in running; he could not wait to get going. He would say, &#8220;I am getting goose bumps&#8221; in anticipation. We followed his advertising suggestions and had an unbelievable number of people through our doors. Robert Putt, one of the hardest working managers I have met, fit right in with us and our staff. His ability to stay on top of the business and give well-thought-out ideas lead our sales plan moving forward. Robert did an excellent job of keeping us on track and motivated everyone to reach their goals. Robert&#8217;s pleasant demeanor and sense of humor helped with the chaos that can and did occur during a sale of this kind. If it was not for Robert Putt our sale would not have been as successful as it was!

It was a privilege and a pleasure working with Robert throughout the sale, and we highly recommend Robert to anyone needing to run any type of promotion.

I can look back now and say we made the right choice in the Lynch Company.

To The Lynch Family:

After much thought and research, we made the decision to use The Lynch Sales Company for our Remerchandising Sale. Although we were nervous to see what this sale would bring, I am pleased to tell you Tip Top Furniture is a very satisfied customer and would consider using this company again based on this experience. We have written a bit shy of our ambitious goal, but feel this was more a sign of the times than a lack of synchronized effort.

Our sale coordinator, Douglas Dowell, and his staff became an extension of our family while they were here. From floor work, to tagging, to advertising they blended in with our team seamlessly. It was very obvious that Doug has a vast knowledge of the furniture industry and is an asset to your team.

Attn: Mr. Jud Lynch

Dear Mr. Lynch:

I wish to convey to you my deep appreciation for the sales conductor and his staff for my Retirement Store Closing Sale that is now in its final week. Greg Klaffka is by far the finest conductor I have had the pleasure of working with. As you know, this will be my fourth Sale Event that I have had with your company, and I can speak from experience. I felt the other conductors were good, however Greg has truly been outstanding. I would like to point out that he took over completely the running, marketing, and pricing of the entire event. His records were always perfect, from not only a cost basis, but also for my profit margins. This had been lacking in previous conductors.

In this terrible economy I was reluctant to move forward with this sale. However, my trust in your company and Dick Dickason&#8217;s direction changed everything to a positive mode. The products supplied by Dick and Lynch Company have been great in all aspects of our sale. Both upholstery and case goods have flown off the floor, and has helped us achieve great profit margins throughout the past 4 weeks.

I need to again say that without Greg Klaffka this sale would not have been close to the success we have had. I cannot give Greg a better recommendation than I wish I would have had him at our previous sales. Not only a true gentleman, but also a genius in all aspects of your Sale Event. We have achieved and surpassed our Sales Goals, and have beaten Dick&#8217;s predictions for the expected Profit Margins. I would be remiss to not mention the bonus of the Oriental Rugs brought in on consignment. Again, we have surpassed that goal by over 30 percent.

In closing I would ask you to use, at your discretion, this letter for any potential clients. They would make a serious mistake if they did not use your Company.

Kindest Personal Regards,

Dear Jud,

You can&#8217;t know how good it feels!

A couple of months back, I was among the group fighting vendors and factors to get merchandise shipped despite our inability to pay on time. The end of 2008 and the start of 2009 were the worst times I&#8217;ve seen in my 53 years in the business.

But now I can happily say that every bill that became due has been paid, every check has cleared and I have a very nice balance in my bank account. And it&#8217;s all because of the (Lynch) sale we concluded last week.

We went into it having no idea what to expect. Based on our past history with your people, we had pretty high hopes. But we certainly did not expect to repeat our performance with you in 2006. We didn&#8217;t, but we did enough to get us to the point I described above.

I must congratulate you on your staff. Steve Phalor was terrific. Your salespeople not only performed brilliantly, but also got along with my sales staff, and Mike and Tyrone belong in the Helpers Hall of Fame.

We weren&#8217;t happy that we needed to call you. We had become accustomed to every five years. But we&#8217;re delighted we did.

Now if we can only exercise some discipline until things really turn around, we&#8217;ll be in a very enviable position. You can be sure that when we need help for a big sale in the future, we&#8217;ll be calling you again.

Regards to all,

To Whom It May Concern:

After contacting several Sales Promotion Companies, we chose the Lynch Sales Company to conduct our recent sale. This was our third sale conducted by Lynch Sales; the last one took place in 2007.

Our biggest concern going into this sale was under the current economic environment, with an unemployment rate over 12%, would it be possible to have a successful promotion? Thankfully, the sale did over 5 times the business we did the previous month in 30 selling days at good margins and with good traffic and buying. The sale has given us the opportunity to build on the momentum and have victory through this unprecedented time.

Jim Schwark, the Sale Facilitator, upheld the Lynch Company professionalism, worked hard to make the Sale a success, and possibly made me a Red Wings Hockey Fan!

Thanks again for a job well done.

To whom it may concern;

While writing this letter of thank you is easy, the subject matter is certainly not! Closing out a family business that has been my life for over 45 years is difficult at best; stressful and painful at worst. John Topper, at all times, took that into consideration.

We began our sale on the 15th April (against my better judgment) in the worst economic times in many decades. It was an instantaneous success thanks in large part to the people that John brought with him as sales associates and warehouse-delivery help, and the way they fit in with the staff that was already employed by our company.

To say that there were not moments where John and I didn&#8217;t have our disagreements about the process would be disingenuous. There can only be one boss in an event like this, and for me the owner, or Mel, my long time manager to relinquish this responsibility did not come without some friction. We all have different ways of doing things. John worked with us to resolve these differences in the best interests of going forward.

That being said, John has done an excellent job of holding things together from the sales floor to the office and backroom. His effort at maintaining good morale was near Herculean at times. While the bottom line, including volume and margin, was very important, I was also concerned that the community which has supported us since 1948 not be disappointed in our ethics during our final run&#8230;John was successful on all areas.

Yes, Koplan&#8217;s had a great reputation earned over six decades, and yes we had a very saleable, current inventory, but without his leadership, hard work and supervision the event would not have been the success it was. We reached our goals all counts.

Sincerely yours,

Gentlemen:

I want to let you know how thrilled we are with the results of the sale your company is conducting for us at our downtown Knoxville location. We had high hopes for what could happen, but frankly, were deeply concerned about the effect the current economy might have.

These concerns were quickly erased when we wrote $1.1 million on the opening day! Well over a year&#8217;s traffic came in the first week. I wish we had an aerial photo&#8230;the traffic was amazing. We are extremely happy with the way the sale is being conducted.

Being in business in Knoxville for well over fifty years, our reputation is very, very important to us, both in business terms and personally. Tom McDonald, our Sale Conductor, has been outstanding in his professionalism, high standards, and in putting the needs of our company first. The professional people that he brought have done a superb job.

Having seen others in your segment of the industry, we strongly recommend the Lynch Sales Company by far for best financial results, most professional, and most image sensitive.

<body>IF you own a furniture store and you&#8217;re considering a high impact event, I highly recommend the Lynch Company.

The Lynch Company came to me highly recommended by reliable sources. I had two major concerns: Could we be successful in the very difficult climate of February 2009? Since we are not contemplating going out of business, would this event damage our reputation and possibly hurt us in the future?
The four retailers who I personally know all found that their sales exceeded the Lynch projections. When I met with Joe Connolly and he gave me the projected sales figure, I asked Joe, &#8220;It&#8217;s a tough climate do you think these numbers are realistic?&#8221; Joe responded, &#8220;Yes, it&#8217;s tough right now, but we factored into the numbers the economic environment.&#8221; I am pleased &#8211; make that thrilled &#8211; to report that we not only met these numbers, but exceeded them nicely.

My secondary concern was how the event would be perceived by the public.  It is true that the advertising format is highly promotional and even borders on looking desperate.  Perhaps, that is what we needed right now as our traffic was truly unprecedented.  Almost 50% of the customers who purchased during the event had never purchased from us before.  To those people who commented that the promotion was not typical of us, we responded in truth, &#8220;These are times calling for an extraordinary sale.&#8221;

Some concerns were expressed about bringing in &#8220;outsiders&#8221; to bolster the sales effort. This concern was met head on and we found the Lynch associates to be professional and a great addition. Candidly, we could have used more help during the peak times of the sales. Many of our sales associates had their best months ever. I had sales associates from six of our seven stores approach me unsolicited and say, &#8220;Thank you for having this sale.&#8221; This was a new experience for me.

David Penfield was the &#8220;Head Conductor&#8221; and provided strong leadership to both the Lynch associates and to our company.  When issues and questions came forward, he would involve me where appropriate and was quick to point out, &#8220;This is your sale.&#8221;

I have already recommended the Lynch Company to other furniture dealer friends.  I do not say this lightly, &#8220;In my 37 year career in the furniture industry, engaging Lynch for our sale was one of my best ten decisions.&#8221;
I wondered how long a retailer should wait to repeat the event and was told two years.  I&#8217;ve marked my calendar&#8230;

Dear Mr. Lynch,

I wanted you to know how much your company exceeded our expectations. Greg Klaffka was organized and really on top of things. Greg handled the set up, and advertising issues like a seasoned pro and did a terrific job running things.

Greg has sound judgment, good management skills and is a good decision maker. Despite their preconceptions he was quickly able to garner the trust and respect of my staff. Greg was wonderful with clients and really has a gift for communication.

We were very pleased with the event and especially the personnel from Lynch Sales, and I can&#8217;t recommend them highly enough.

Dear Joe:

With our sale coming to its end, I would like you to know that the only way I can describe it is&#8212;INCREDIBLE! Given the current state of the economy, I had doubts about the potential outcome of our sale, but we have exceeded our highest goals by far. To have 1500 people through our doors the first day and over 4000 during the first four days was beyond my wildest dreams. I never imagined we could do four months worth of business the first day.

Our Conductor, Doug Dowell, made me feel at ease from the moment we first spoke with each other. He suggested ideas that would help our sale even before he arrived and continued his hands-on-style throughout the sale, making my staff feel relaxed and confident with his expert guidance. Doug&#8217;s endless energy, customer knowledge, product knowledge, and enthusiastic morning sales meetings sparked everyone to have fun and improve every day.

I can&#8217;t say enough about his sales team, Rhonda, Joe, Justin, Pam, Steven, Denise, Sandy and Kate; it felt as if we had all worked together for years. Their professionalism, knowledge and friendliness to our customers and my staff made them a joy to work with.

I can honestly say that if I am ever involved in a sale like this again, I will definitely call the Lynch Sales Company, though I would have to insist on Doug Dowell as the Conductor, as I feel there could be no one better. Thanks from my entire family to the Lynch Sales Company for an incredible job; it turned out to be not only very profitable, but truly an enjoyable experience.

Sincerely,

Dear Jud:

We are now entering the fourth week of our five-week Lynch Promotional Sale. I just wanted to let you know that your company has exceeded our expectations. After closing the books for January 2009, it has become apparent that we have just completed the best month in the history of our business! Given that we are faced with daily news of job loss, foreclosure, tight credit markets and recession, I consider this to be an extraordinary achievement.

I also wanted to take a moment and thank you for sending Steve Phalor to coordinate our event. Steve has been a great fit for our business, carrying out your corporate mission of &#8220;uncompromising integrity and unparalleled results.&#8221; As well, we could not have been more pleased with the professionalism of the extra sales staff that Steve arranged to help with our event. Steven, Stephanie and Jill blended seamlessly with our staff and helped make the event a success.

Please feel free to have any prospective clients contact me, as I would be pleased to relate the details of our Lynch sale experience. Your program is a perfect model for any retailer looking to increase not only sales, but profit as well.

Sincerely,

Craig Werner
President

Dear Jud:

Once again your sales organization did a great job for our final store closing in New Port Richey. Each time your staff has been outstanding, especially Robert Putt who has managed two of the three closings. The sales staff, as I have said before, was very professional and worked extremely well with our group.

No more stores to close, but I do look forward to meeting you in Grand Rapids someday.

Yours very truly,

Richard D. Harrison

Dear Mr. Lynch:

I want to thank you for the successful sales event conducted at our Cresent Home Furnishings store closing, which was held at both our Cool Springs and Downtown locations.

Lynch Sales Company&#8217;s two coordinators, Warren Channel and Chris Kulikowski, handled themselves as gentlemen at all times and worked well with our staff.

The supplementary salespersons brought in for the sale were qualified, could close a sale as well as inspire our sales staff.

I encourage Lynch buyers to shop Cresent Fine Furniture when looking for quality furniture at excellent prices. There may be an opportunity in the future for us to offer our product at one of your events.

To Whom It May Concern:

Lynch Sales Company and Plunkett Home Furnishings teamed up for a Great Furniture Disposal and Restocking Sale in its six Chicagoland locations in September 2008. Mr. Gordon Zuliani worked as Store Coordinator in our Lombard location.

In short, it was a pleasure working with Mr. Zuliani. It became apparent early on that he was an accomplished retail furniture veteran, with his vast experience and strong work ethic being valuable during the sale. He brought with him three highly competent sales associates who were very effective. Both they and Plunkett&#8217;s sales design staff related well to Gordon in following his strong, upbeat professional leadership. His daily and weekly sales meetings were motivational. Out of our six stores, I believe Lombard had the best sales results, largely thanks to him.

We will strongly consider requesting Gordon for any future Lynch/Plunkett sale events.

Sincerely,

John R. Plunkett

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is to recommend John Topper and Lynch Sales Company to anyone who is planning to run a sale they feel they would require help with.

This is the second sale we ran with Lynch, and when our original conductor was not available, I was a little disappointed. However, when John arrived, he immediately made a good impression, and that original impression never faltered.

I found John to be organized, efficient, hard working, and on top of all that, he was extremely caring and kind. He even went out of his way to befriend one of the second-generation owners who was struggling mightily with the closing of our store. He was encouraging, thoughtful, and a real class act.

I count myself extremely blessed to not only have had him as our conductor, but now to count him as one of my friends.

Sincerely,

James Maibach
