Dear Gareth,
I just thought I would drop you a very quick line to thank you for your assistance so far in organizing the Close Down of our Wood Green Department store.
Preparations for our Great £5,000,000 Store Closing Sale started again with the anticipation and an element of doubt to its success; but, we should have known by now that we are in capable hands.
Our third event with Daniel Lynch started as usual with a mass of people eagerly awaiting the store opening, and by close of business on the first Sunday nearly 20,000 people had crossed our threshold.
The main reason for writing to you is that we have just passed what I believe to be a major milestone: £1 Million in our first 17 days!
We still have a long way to go and Daren and Simon are constantly on our buyers to go and purchase more stock to keep this event moving forward.
I have run some very quick comparisons against last year’s figures for sales in some of the principal departments that I think are totally outstanding:

We look forward to achieving our ultimate goal, an empty store on the 18th March.
