CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Chris Lynch has signed a deal to acquire full interest in furniture sales promotion specialist Lynch Sales.

Lynch has been a 50-50 partner in the business with his brother Jud Lynch, who has retired from a day-to-day executive role. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Chris Lynch said the ownership transition will occur over the next few months and will be completed in August.

The Lynch brothers are third-generation operators and were former co-CEOs of the company, which celebrated 100 years in business last year. Under the new arrangement, Chris Lynch is now CEO and Jud Lynch will be chairman. No other executive changes are planned.

The company continues to operate an office with a staff of four in Grand Rapids, Mich., the previous headquarters location, as well as a new1,500-square-foot Chattanooga, Tenn., office and an office in Great Britain near London. Chris Lynch previously was based in Miami.

Lynch said the acquisition allows the company to “focus on the enhancement of our sale events by adapting our services to a changing media landscape that expands our electronic and social media coverage.”

And the recent move to a Chattanooga headquarters “was based not only on a lifestyle change” but on the city’s central location and proximity to Atlanta and its airport, he said.

“We felt we would be better situated to meet with our clients and potential clients, attend the trade shows and be closer to our key executives,” he said. “Plus, the climate is temperate and the people are friendly.”

Chris Lynch and the management team that was based in Miami moved to Chattanooga in March. That includes Lynch’s wife and Lynch Sales vice president, Barbara Lynch, and Director of Advertising Daniel Ledo.

In addition, Susan Beacham, a former sales associate for the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store in the Chattanooga market, has joined as office manager. Lynch said he met Beacham while running a remodeling sale for the La-Z-Boy location.
