Dear Chris and Jud:

We would like to express our appreciation to your company, especially your conductor, Gordon Zuliani, for our “Going Out of Business” Sale.

Our store was approximately 30,000 square feet with the highest quality furniture lines offered in Saskatoon. Universal Furniture was a family owned business for over 42 years. I worked there for over 22 years and my wife, Linda, full and part-time for 20 years.

During the course of our store’s lifetime, both my parents passed away, which left us with no other family members to help in the business. Over the course of the past few years, we had also noticed a considerable change in the retail business. This, combined with having no family left is Saskatoon, we decided to close the business which was a very tough decision. We did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people about the best possible company to run our final sale. Your name was mentioned by many individuals and your reputation came very highly recommended. After meeting with Gordon Zuliani for the first time in Saskatoon, we knew that we had made the right decision. Gordon was very professional in running the sale, yet still made it fun. We appreciate the fact that Gordon has the knowledge of owning his own furniture store and also running a closing out sale – so he has first hand experience in both. He has a great sense of humor which made hem easy to work with and he worked very closely with Linda and myself to make sure that we were kept up-to-date with everything he was doing.

The first four days of the sale were incredible with people lined up on both sides of our block. The first day we outsold what we would do in a month. The advertising of Daniel Lynch was very successful in drawing in the customers. Overall, in 8 weeks, we easily outsold what we would do in a year and cleaned out our building of almost all inventory.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Gordon Zuliani. Right after signing the papers to start the sale, Linda’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Besides contending with the stress of running our sale, we were traveling back and forth to be with her family as much as we could. Gordon not only did an excellent job in handling all of the sales and delivery staff, but also took a personal interest in our situation and went above and beyond what his duties were expected of him. Gordon provided us the peace of mind to be able to take a little bit of extra time to spend with Linda’s family.

We would like to thank Gordon Zuliani and the Daniel Lynch Sales Company for providing us with the expertise to run a successful sale.

Sincerely,

Zorian & Linda Dershko
